Alan Crisman, DDS
Alan Crisman grew up in Chattanooga, TN and realized that he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry while in college. His father was a dentist and Alan thought this would be a good fit for him as well. Alan attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he majored in Psychology. After obtaining his under graduate degree, he enrolled in the University of Tennessee Health Sciences College in Memphis, TN. In 1981, Alan Crisman was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Crisman feels strongly about giving back to the community through volunteer work and has spent many hours providing volunteer services for such projects as the Inner Cities Dental Clinic and the Project Homeless Connect in Haiti. Dr. Crisman feels that giving is a far greater blessing than receiving which is evident in his many volunteer hours.
Dr. Crisman is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Tennessee Dental Association (TDA) and the Chattanooga Area Dental Society.
In his free time, Dr. Crisman enjoys outside adventures including backpacking, skiing, golf, water sports and biking. He also enjoys wood working from log home building to cabinet making.
Dr. Crisman is married with three children and two step-children and a dog named Bentley.
Deena Alani, DMD
Deena Alani was born in Jackson, Mississippi but grew up in the Middle East. She realized that she wanted to purse the field of dentistry while in high school. In 2001, Deena received her first dental degree from the Middle East and began a Private Practice dental clinic with her husband Dr. Wesam Alani. In 2013, after moving back to the United States, Dr. Deena Alani received her second dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While in dental school, she received several honors and two awards for Student Leadership and Student Teaching.
After graduation, Dr. Alani entered private practice in Chattanooga, TN where she has been working as a General Dentist for Children’s Dentistry of Red Bank. She enjoys practicing Esthetic Dentistry and treating children.
Dr. Alani is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Chattanooga Area Dental Society (CADS).
In her free time, Dr. Alani volunteers with the Bridget Refugee Service in which she helps refugee families to settle in. She also enjoys spending time with her family, reading and cooking. Dr. Alani is married to, Dr. Wesam Alani (also a dentist) and they have a 7 year old daughter.
